How long does a charge last?
With the new 2× battery bank and a panel that's 50% more efficient, a normal day of sun keeps it glowing through the night — and the auto-dimming sensor stretches reserves across cloudy stretches.
What's actually new versus the original?
An upgraded thicker stainless steel body, improved from aluminum, double the battery storage, a 50%-more-efficient solar panel, brighter LEDs, longer wireless range with a synchronized multi-lamp mode, and roughly double the weight for wind stability. It's safe to say this model is better in every way.
Is it weatherproof?
Yes, it's rated IP65, meaning the components are fully sealed and water-tight. It's built to last through wet, cold winters and hot, humid summers alike.
Does it turn on automatically at night?
Yes. A built-in light sensor switches it on at dusk and rests it at dawn, with no timer to set. You can also dim it or change its colour temperature by remote.
Can it be secured to the ground?
For the majority of homes, it will be more than heavy enough to stay put on its own, but for exposed or windy spots a single standard bolt anchors it permanently to deck, stone or concrete.
