Silk for the skin.
Mulberry silk absorbs less water than cotton. This directly reduces the amount your skincare products get wiped off your face while sleeping.
If skincare is important to you, use a pillowcase that won't absorb all the vital skin nutrients!

Less friction means less damage.
Friction, the rubbing of your body and the fabric creates heat, wear and tear, and produces static electricity.
This is why we often wake up with bed-head, wrinkle lines or extremely dry skin. Mulberry silk tackles these problems with ease.

What is Mulberry silk?
Mulberry silk is produced by the Bombyx mori silkworm, which is exclusively fed mulberry leaves. This specialized diet results in silk that is:
- exceptionally soft
- pure white in color
- long and uniform in fiber
What makes Mulberry silk so great?
Mulberry silk is one of the strongest natural fibers, even stronger than steel threads of the same diameter.
During the refining process, a protein called "sericin" is removed from the silk, which makes this product hypoallergenic and gives it the iconic "silky smooth" feeling.
Why is silk good for your hair & skin?
Silk is gentler on the body than other fabrics like cotton or linen. The smooth texture allows the fabric to glide against hair and skin with ease as it produces less friction than other fabrics.
Silk can help improve the health of your hair by reducing tangles and frizziness. It can also benefits your facial skin by preserving moisture and reducing the likelihood of creases, which in the long term can result in wrinkles.
What is the thread count of these sheets?
Actually instead of thread count (how cotton is measured), silk weight is measured in units known as momme, sometimes abbreviated as mm. The higher the momme weight, the heavier and denser the silk weave will be. Our sheets use a 22mm count, where an 18mm count would be equivalent to 600TC.
How does silk stay cool?
Friction can be a significant source of heat, and because of the incredible smoothness of mulberry silk, the material produces less friction and thus less heat when rubbing against the body.
Mulberry silk fibres are also naturally porous, providing airflow that cools the body.
